Airblue is expanding its Pakistan–Gulf and domestic network with new services and added frequencies.
← BackThe airline plans to inaugurate both city pairs in the first week of November, pending final schedule confirmation.
New international routes
- Lahore (LHE) ⇄ Dammam (DMM)
- Islamabad (ISB) ⇄ Dammam (DMM)
The Dammam launches will strengthen links to Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, serving strong VFR (visiting friends and relatives) traffic, workers commuting on rotational rosters, and short-stay business travelers. The additions also create new one-stop options for passengers connecting via Lahore and Islamabad to other domestic destinations.
Domestic frequency boost (from October 28)
- Lahore (LHE) ⇄ Karachi (KHI): 3 flights weekly
- Islamabad (ISB) ⇄ Karachi (KHI): 3 flights weekly
Starting 28 October, Airblue will operate three weekly flights on both Lahore–Karachi and Islamabad–Karachi. By adding these frequencies, the airline is aiming to offer more flexibility on two of Pakistan’s busiest business and travel corridors. The additional capacity is expected to benefit same-week business travel, short family visits, and passengers connecting onward to international flights via Karachi.
Overall, the combination of new Dammam routes and increased Karachi services signals an aggressive network push, covering both expatriate demand to Saudi Arabia and high-volume domestic traffic within Pakistan.
