This initiative will make Swiss Airlines the world’s first airline to consume the fuel which is known as ‘sun to liquid’ fuel. This technology involves sunlight to produce carbon-neutral kerosene. This fuel is economically beneficial and ecologically viable which is a great substitute for dying fossil fuels.The airline has a keen interest in consuming and moving ahead with solar fuel which will be made available in 2023.

The government of Switzerland has announced plans to scrap all COVID-19 related precautionary  measures from 2nd May 2022. The national carrier of Switzerland, Swiss International Airlines has planes lined up for the upcoming months. The airline has plans to launch regular flights on the Zurich-Odesa route.
