The DevOps Engineer exists to make that foundation more reliable, scalable, secure, observable, and efficient – while helping engineering teams deploy with greater speed and confidence.

About the Opportunity

As a DevOps Engineer, you will help scale and operate our AWS-based, Kubernetes-driven travel platform. You will take hands-on ownership across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, networking, security, and incident response, working closely with Backend, Mobile, QA, Product, and Security teams on production-critical systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure supporting high-traffic travel workloads across EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudFront, and ALB/NLB.
• Operate and troubleshoot production Kubernetes (EKS) clusters running customer-facing microservices.
• Improve availability, scalability, performance, and latency across flight search, booking, payments, loyalty, and partner integrations.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable safe, fast, and repeatable deployments.
• Automate infrastructure and platform workflows using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting so teams have clear visibility into system health and failures.
• Proactively identify bottlenecks and capacity risks during sales, promotions, holidays, and other peak-traffic events.
• Lead rigorous root cause analysis for production incidents and drive durable fixes rather than temporary workarounds.
• Design and troubleshoot AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, security groups, NACLs, load balancers, DNS, and TLS.
• Apply strong practices around IAM, secrets management, access control, and API-level security.
• Partner with Backend, Mobile, QA, Product, and Security teams and support integrations with airlines, payment gateways, and third-party services.
• Maintain clear, useful documentation for infrastructure, operational processes, and recurring incident scenarios.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, Platform Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and operating Kubernetes (EKS) in production.
• Practical Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and excellent troubleshooting and incident-handling skills.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and architectures.
• Experience with Docker and Helm is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AWS cost optimization and FinOps practices is an advantage.
• Exposure to security- or compliance-driven environments, including payment or PCI-related workflows, is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SRE principles such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets is an advantage.
• Experience supporting high-traffic consumer platforms such as travel, e-commerce, or fintech is an advantage.
